Apologies for the lack of news from these parts recently but time has pretty short but this is my attempt to get back to a more regular Wednesday schedule.
First up, it’s blow my own trumpet news…. I’ve sold my story The Grey Cairns to the Innsmouth Free Press, I’ll let you know when it’s due to be published. In the meantime I’m about to release two more finished stories into the wild, The Missing and Melting.
Johnny Mains is now taking orders for his Herbert Van Thal collection The Mask and Other Stories. The collection contains Van Thal’s “lost stories”:-
VARIATIONS ON A THEME:
i CHILD PERFORMER
ii SUMMER IDYLL
THE OLD LADY MAKES A CUP OF TEA
As well as an essay by Van Thal and an introduction by Johnny Mains. A review should be online here very soon.
Ebook bargain hunters are in for a treat as Dark Continents have a sale on at the moment with many of their excellent titles available for the frankly paltry sum of £0.89p, including recently reviewed The Caretakers by Adrian Chamberlin. Search for their titles on Amazon or head to Dark Continents to download a catalogue here.
Finally more ebook news as the fine folk at Tartarus Press have started to release some titles in ebook format. Of course Tartarus are renowned for the quality and sheer beauty of their traditional books so this has not been an easy transition for them. You can read an interesting blog post with more details here. Of course for those of us on a limited budget or for those who perhaps missed out on the original limited editions this is an excellent way to sample some of the fantastic titles in the Tartarus cataogue. You can read more on the Tartarus news page here.
